Ate like I had burnt 10,000 calories last night - oh wait I did! Woke up early as the coach transfer leaves at 06:30.
My naive thinking was that where you finish the previous day is automatically where the next stage starts and you can just roll out of bed....oh no, maybe for Team Ineos, but I had to have breakfast at 05:30 and then ready for coach transfer to todays start line.
Stage profile is again described as "hilly" by the official Le Tour teams, but we all already know they lie - what do you think?

Karen and the boys went home today - it's been amazing having them here, even though we didn't get as much time to chill as planned

Eventful day, but successfully made it around the full 215 (we'll come back to those fibbing organisers later 😡)
Cooler than forecast with some cloud cover thankfully - still hot if you are from Manchester!
Going well and feeling strong until 65k to go - got delayed by an hour for a junior pro race Which was scary to watch.
Then 3 punctures in the last 30k, the last of which had me changing a tube at the top of a mountain in full cloud cover ☹️ -
Long descent into San Sebastián and then finally to the hotel around 10.20 - what a day.
Good job tomorrow is only 180km eh????
Griff
Well done mate, looks hard but great at the same time. Good to see Karen and the boys out with you at the start. Keep going, you’ll smash it 🚲
