Tour de France - Etape 17 (SAINT-GERVAIS MONT-BLANC to COURCHEVEL- 166km, 5000m)

This the big one, the "Queen stage", i.e. the stage which will be the hardest, most demanding and probably have the biggest impact on the professional race - 5000m of climbing...

Quick update - toughest day on the bike by far....ever, but finished in just under 11 hours

So....this stage did not disappoint at all - it was long, it was hot, it had huge mountains, it visited 4 ski resorts in one day, and finally it had thunder and lightning at the top of Courchevel.

It was an incredible day - brutally tough, but satisfying to complete

Just a mere 190k tomorrow, but quite flat!
