Tour de France - Etape 14 (ANNEMASSE to MORZINE LES PORTES DU SOLEIL - 151.8km, 4.034m)

Firstly, sincere apologies for anyone concerned for my welfare, or just desperate for the next blog installment....the first photo below is my sleeping arrangement for last night. Me struggling to climb into the top bunk while my 4 other room mates were sleeping was entertainment itself. A lack of WiFi at the overnight hostel (yes hostel!) also contributed to the lack of update.

I am safe and well - that is a relative term for someone who has cycled over 2000km in the past 14 days and has tan lines from a comedy sketch...

The good news is that the 4,000m climbing of 1 x Cat 3, 3 x Cat 1 and 1 x Cat HC was dispatched successfully - seriously hot though

A special photo below for the Altus ski group of the chair lifts at Morzine - could have done with them being working for a ride up the mountain.

Tomorrow is the toughest stage so far - 200+km and 4400m of climbing up to Mont Blanc - will be a long one..
