Tour de France - Etape 12 (Roanne to Belleville-en-Beaujolais - 179.8km, 3,100m)

Again, a hilly stage with a finish in the town famous for the Beaujolais run - not sure I'll be sampling the current vintage

Wow, it was hot, lumpy but stunning!! Hitting the hills where all you can see for miles are vineyards was incredible.

Less famous Cols, but no easier

Long day for 3,100m of climbing but yet again McFlurry came to the evening rescue!!

Feeling tired, but no where near as bad as I envisaged I would - the body is an incredible, adaptable thing

Big, big day with the Grand Colombier mountain
